I began my Celebrant journey as Best Man for my friend’s wedding (hey Spanks!) 

Being trusted to give that kind of gift, and bringing the house down with laughter, was a buzz like no other. Following that, two other close friends asked me to perform their woodland wedding ceremony. The journey we went on, creating that ceremony together, was deeply fulfilling in a way I hadn’t expected. I was hooked. 

 

I have worked internationally as a wedding celebrant in Europe and the USA - and would love to travel further! Travelling is my zest and my teacher. 

 

Creating ceremonies weaves together my background as a writer, performer and storyteller.

 

Over 8 years I built a career as an award-winning theatre director in London, cultivating stories that felt important, meaningful and transformational. When that started to lose its sparkle I took off on a year of adventure and travel.

I found myself building things out of bamboo in the jungle in Java, selling miso near Ubud and constructing a pizzeria-aquarium on Lake Toba. I discovered that I am revitalised by wild spaces, and I am nourished by the lives and vision of others, who do things differently. 

 

Meaningful ceremony has enriched my life. I seek rituals that bring me into rhythm with nature. I am interested in stories that amplify the things we need more of, in this world - and I tell them through illustration, performance and the art of ceremony. 

 

My journey has brought me to a special valley in West Wales, on land that speaks to my soul. I am surrounded by a vital, forward-thinking community.
